Facilities Engineer

FPS Energy\'s International Energy team have been tasked with finding a Facilities Engineer. The position will be based in France. The company has an international presence and are looking to expand their operations in France & the Netherlands

You will deliver new facilities on time and on budget while ensuring the integrity of the surface installations and respecting all applicable standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering: Preferably Mechanical, Process or Chemical with proven experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, including experience in facility/pipeline design and facilities optimization studies
10 years of experience in oil and gas field surface installations
Computer Proficiencies: General computer skills and basic knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets and database applications
Competency in Project Management and process engineering related to treatment of crude/water gas principles

Consideration would also be given to an engineering technologist with similar experience. Please note that this role will require frequent travel to the Netherlands.


Primary responsibilities include:

Ensuring the design and completion of new construction and large maintenance projects in a technically reliable, legally viable and economically effective way by:

Defining the goals/scope of all of the projects;
Requiring the assessment of alternate technical and economic options;
Validating the final technical, budgetary, planning end execution choices;
Following the activities to ensure sound management of the costs, schedule and standards;

Promoting internal development through formal training and exposure of individuals to projects in progress and mentoring junior staff members.
Be self motivated with well developed planning, technical and teamwork is essential.
Provide the associated cost estimates for the facility portions of all projects.
Work as a team member on a multi-discipline team, in conjunction with geo-science, land, permitting, drilling, facilities, HES, and the operations team.
