Development Geologist

FPS Energy\'s International Energy team have been tasked with finding a Senior Development Geologist on behalf of an international E&P company. This position will be based in their London office. 

The successful candidate will have a BSc or MSc in Geology and previous experience with an operating company.

Experience in conventional petroleum exploitation and development is required and will have performed a wide variety of technical evaluations and analytical and geomodelling studies. 

Key Objectives of the Job

• Geological evaluation of development new business opportunities
  


• Preparation of geological reports, maps, and Petrel models for development planning and simulation activities


• Quantification of input parameters for deterministic and probabilistic volumetrics calculations, including assessment of uncertainty ranges


• Analysis of geological and related data to support development projects
  

 

 Main Responsibilities

• Building of Petrel models for input to simulation studies
  


• Well Data Analysis
  


• Planning of all geological activities within area of responsibility


• Preparation of geological well planning material for operated wells


• Management of incoming geological information from other operators (particularly related to drilling wells)


• Production of regional, prospect-specific and field-related geological maps


• Selection and supervision of geological consultants


• Work with other disciplines involved in development projects e.g geophysicist, reservoir engineer, petrophysicist
